Trial Overview

Earlier this year, we took a significant step towards sustainability by introducing the Scania Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) truck to our fleet for a 2-week energy trial. This trial is part of our ongoing commitment to explore and implement greener alternatives in our operations.

The Scania CNG truck was integrated into our daily routes, allowing us to assess its performance under real-world conditions. Throughout the trial, we focused on monitoring its overall usage, evaluating potential savings, and collecting comprehensive feedback from our drivers and operational team.

Impressive Capabilities

One of the standout features of the Scania CNG truck is its impressive range. Once filled, the truck can cover approximately 600 kilometres. This range makes it a viable option for our daily haulage needs without compromising efficiency.

Reducing Emissions: A Core Priority

At GAP Haulage, reducing emissions is not just a goal; it's a core priority. The Scania CNG truck boasts up to a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional diesel trucks. This significant reduction plays a crucial role in our sustainability strategy, helping us minimize our carbon footprint and contribute to a cleaner environment. Reducing emissions is of paramount importance in the transport industry. By adopting greener technologies like CNG trucks, we can significantly lower our environmental impact, leading to improved air quality with lower emissions and overall cost savings.

The introductory trial of the Scania CNG truck to our fleet marks a pivotal moment in GAP Haulage’s journey towards sustainability. As we continue to explore and implement innovative solutions, we remain committed to reducing our environmental impact and leading the way in sustainable transport practices.
